If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

Charleston, South Carolina

"Beautiful Places, Smiling Faces" the tag line of the state of SC could well be replaced by "Beautiful Faces, Smiling Faces". I have seen some of the prettiest American women in this town. I am glad i am almost ending my 2 week long trip accross the states of Minnesota, Iowa, Feezing fucking cold Nebraska, Arkansas, Georgia with a weekend in one of the prettiest, oldest American city of Charleston. This city makes one feel like he is visiting a beautiful European City like Brugge or Maastricht for that matter.

I consider myself lucky to have visited an American town whose down downtown is represented by old brick houses, cobbled streets and not a single building rising above 6 stories. Bang in the middle of this city is a beautiful French quarter studded with holiday homes of rich New Yorkers which are over 250 years old.

Unfortunately i was working this entire weekend visiting warehouses, meeting a 3 PL. This trip of mine would end with a visit to our factories in Mcrae, Georgia and Orangeburg, SC tomorrow and a couple of meetings with 3 PLs in Atlanta before i head back to Nashville on Tuesday night.

In the last two weeks i witnessed a drive through a snow storm in Nebraska.....where a touch on the break pedal made the car dance, visits to real small American towns fuelled by Electrolux, the largest Chain Saw, Blower and Tiller factory in the world ( a whopping 8 million per year), driving through home of Bill Clinton in Hope, Arkansas (very close to one of our factories), a walk through beautiful plantations in Charleston, driving miles together through the American country side, a sneek peek (from outside) of the renowned golf course in Augusta.....the list goes on. I must share this....by the end of this trip i would have driven a total of 1350 miles.

In a nutshell ....i witnessed the diveristy of the Land of Opportunities "The United States of America".

And some trivia....did you know Electrolux has a bloody cool brand called "Weed Eater"?

Cheers, and i hope most of you have had a great date on Valentines eve unlike me!

Hi Rohit,

Wow, fascinating journey. Make me want to visit this country. To get away from cobbled street for a day, for a change ;-)

Greetings from Brussels,
